Full Members of the SNR receive hard copies of the four issues of The Mariner’s Mirror that are published every year as well as the four copies of the Society’s Newsletter, Topmasts. Members of the Society also receive online access, via the website to the entire back catalogue of The Mariner’s Mirror dating back to 1911, consisting of over 2000 articles.

The Society holds regular online events bringing the world’s leading maritime historians to its membership.

The Society holds its AGM at the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth every June and all members are welcome to attend. Members are also entitled to buy a ticket to attend the Society’s annual dinner on board HMS Victory.

On production of their valid SNR membership card member receive free access to all National Museum of the Royal Navy attractions at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard – This includes The Royal Naval Museum, The Victory Gallery, HMS Victory, M.33, HMS Warrior, Boathouse No.4,  HMS Alliance, the Royal Naval Submarine Museum, Night Hunters (Coastal Forces), The Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower plus a 10% discount in their gift shops. (it should be noted that this concession does not include the Mary Rose). Further, an SNR member who can produce their valid SNR membership card may be accompanied by one guest and that guest will receive free access to HMS Victory and the HMS Victory Gallery.
