Despite some critical aspects which are common to the whole Mediterranean basin and Europe, Spain can nowadays be considered one of the most interesting actors in the field of underwater archaeology.
This is the reason why the publication of a Green Paper of underwater archaeology represents both for Spanish and non-Spanish archaeologists a sort of landmark.
