Document: The Ship-models of Phineas Pett

By courtesy of L. G. Carr Laughton, published October 1913

Abstract

The quotations in the document are transcribed from the “Autobiography of Phineas Pett “, and although none of his models appear to have survived, the document does suggest that ship-models were constructed earlier than had previously been realised. It should be noted that the original text has been modernised to help the modern-day reader.
