Some “Kinks” in “The History of the Anchor”

Abstract

The author, Director of the Prins Hendrik Maritime Museum, Rotterdam, takes great exception to criticisms of an earlier publication of his on anchors which had been reviewed in the Mariner’s Mirror in 1926. He refutes many points which he felt were errors made by Dr. F. Moll in “The History of the Anchor”, published in Vol 13, No. 4, October 1927 of the Mariner’s Mirror which Nouhuys viewed as containing personal criticisms.
