By G.C.E. Crone, published April 1914

The author has recently acquired a contemporary model 161cm long of a Dutch warship of the second half of the 17th century. Comparison with drawings by van de Velde confirms that the ship is the 80-gun “Hollandia” built in 1664. Some restoration work was required and the article details how the authenticity of the work was assured. Some information is also supplied about the small number of models of Dutch ships of this period which are known to exist.
