Proposals are invited for this year’s UK Maritime Heritage Forum which will take place on 14-15 November 2019 at Riverside Museum and The Tall Ship Glenlee in Glasgow.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Proposals are invited for:

1) 8-10 minute talks on recent or current maritime heritage or related research projects, whether at a museum, vessel or archive.

2) 15-20 minute talks on the following topics:

1. Museums and Well-being

2. Ship models

3. Connecting through stories

(The latter two will be for break-out sessions).

To submit a proposal, please send a short outline of your talk (no more than 200 words) to sarcher@rmg.co.uk by 17.00 on Monday 5 August.

Please note that speakers should be prepared to cover their own costs to attend the Forum, including the delegate fee. Unfortunately, there are very limited funds available for subsidising speakers – but you are encouraged to email if you really need support.

Programme and Booking

The full programme and booking details will be available in mid-August.

The programme will follow the shape of previous U.K.M.H.F. programmes, i.e. a 2-day event with an afternoon’s study visit to local maritime heritage sites. There will also be a free optional book launch on the previous evening (Wednesday).
