New Home Urgently Needed for Historic Vessels

Oyc6QyrMThe Museum of London is no longer able to maintain its historic vessels Varlet and Knocker White. Consequently it is looking to dispose of both of them, either to suitable new owners able to offer them a sustainable future, or for recorded deconstruction line with Museum Association and National Historic Ships UK ethical guidelines.

Conservator Ian Clark has been commissioned to produce condition reports on Knocker White and Varlet (PDF) for the information of interested parties.

Anyone wishing to discuss the possible acquisition of either or both vessels should contact Sharon Robinson at the Museum of London email srobinson@museumoflondon.org.uk The Museum will be taking proposals until Monday 23 May, and holding limited viewing appointments for interested parties on 4 and 5 May by appointment only.
