The Trafalgar Way 2018 Story Writing Competition

The 1805 Club Trafalgar Way initiative is running a short story competition to commemorate Lieutenant Lapenotiere carrying the news of The Battle of Trafalgar from Falmouth to London. If you are between the ages of 7 and 21 on the 6th November 2018, you can become part of this epic tale by writing your own story about An Urgent Message, and be in with the chance of winning cash and other prizes.

The stories will be judged by a panel of amazing judges:
Dan Snow Historian and Broadcaster
Megan Rix Author
Peter Hore Author, Biographer, Journalist
Kathy Brown Director, The Trafalgar Way
Kate Jamieson Blogger, Adventurer, Nelson expert

 

The competition is only open to individuals and schools from the counties along The Trafalgar Way: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Surrey and South-West London, or to Sea Cadets and serving Royal Naval personnel under the age of 22 resident anywhere.
