Abstract

The short note points out that in 1826 the Admiralty ordered that, by direction of the King, in future a Jack with white border would be used worldwide as a pilot flag and the Union Jack would no longer to be used for that purpose. (See MM Volume 1, Issues 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 11.)
