Obituary: Captain Henry Theodore Augustus Bosanquet, CVO

Abstract

Captain Bosanquet was a founding member of the Society and was mentioned on the back cover of the first Mariner’s Mirror as one of the Honorary Auditors. He held office within the Society from the very first meeting until his death in early 1959, being at different times an Auditor, a Treasurer and a Vice-President. In 1957 the Society showed its appreciation of his long and loyal service by making him an Honorary Vice-President. In addition to the offices he held, he was also a significant contributor to the journal, with articles covering a wide range of subjects.
