Obituary: Lord Milford Haven

Abstract

Lord Milford Haven, formally Lord Louis of Battenberg, died in September 1921, whilst still the serving President of the Society. He held the post from the first AGM in 1910 and but for his sudden and unexpected death would have carried on in this role for many years. Having retired from the Royal Navy he devoted his time to producing a number of books on naval subjects, including man-of war names and more importantly a three-volume edition on naval medals.
