Papers Relating to the Navy in the Bodleian Library

This is a short article giving a brief description of the numerous historical documents ‘hidden away’ in the Bodleian Library, which should be of great interest to naval historians. Over half the documents had been collected and compiled by Pepys, in preparation for his planned, but never executed, history of the navy. Many other documents and later periods are described.
