Abstract
This article is concerned with the submittal of an original hull lines plan, extracted from reliable contemporary evidence, and primarily based on an outstanding scale model of an authentic traditional Northern China sea-going sailing trading junk: the Pechili (Kiangsu) Trader. It addresses specific challenges to the naval architect from established scholars of Chinese junks.
