The full history of a famous barque from her launch to her ultimate fate with all the trials and tribulations experienced during her lifetime.  A good description of the fight the sailing ship put up when confronted with the steam ship at the end of the sail era.  Even the finest sailing ship could not survive, ultimately, the economics of steam.
