The Roccafortis of Venice 1268

By L.G. Carr Laughton., published November 1956

Abstract

The Roccafortis was a large ship provided by Venice for the crusades and this posthumously published article is a highly technical and detailed refutation of articles by other authors that speculated on its dimensions. The entire piece is taken up with measurements based on formulae and what was known at the time about late middle age shipbuilding.
