The Navy Board kept a record of ships’ draughts as they sailed from an RN dockyard, together with their stores. When the Temeraire sailed from Sheerness on 23 June 1799 she was stored for Channel service and her draught afore was 22ft 11in and her draught abaft was 24ft 11in. These records are at Kew in the ADM 95 series (not the WO 95 series as written on the slip in the photo).
