    Dear Mr. Caradot,
First, may I also say, ‘what a find’! Bravo Zulu!! I am the North American Secretary of The 1805 Club https://www.1805club.org. The Club has undertaken a project to conserve the parish register of St. John’s Figtree Church, 1727-1826. The register has Nelson’s and Nisbet’s signatures, and I am sure it has recorded the birth of Josiah Nisbet. The register is presently at the UK and The Club hopes to have it returned to Nevis by mid 2022. Myself and fellow Club member, Captain John Wills, RN Rtd are project managers for the register. We have been coordinating with the parish, The Nevis Historical and Conservation Society’s (https://www.nevisheritage.org) president, Mr. Richard Lupinacci, and the St. Kitts and Nevis Foreign Office. I am sure they would be thrilled to know of your find. My wife and I are frequent visitors to Nevis as we were married there, under the same tree that Nelson married Nisbet at the Montpelier Plantation https://www.montpeliernevis.com. I would very much like to further our conversation. You can email me at john_rodgaard@yahoo.com. Thank you. Sincerely, John Rodgaard, Captain, USN Rtd
