Reply To: 17th/18thC naval ship-moulds for private shipyards

In my research on private yards from 1793 to 1812 I have so far not come across any reference in correspondence or contracts to moulds being supplied by the King’s yards. I would be surprised if the large Thames yards did not have their own mould lofts, but have yet to see any mention.
