Soon after the Battle of Jutland on 31 May – 1 June 1916 the Naval Attaché of the Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Navy at the embassy in Berlin, Fregattenkapitäne Hieronymus Graf von Colloredo-Mannsfeld, visited the High Sea Fleet. He composed a report on the battle for his superiors using first-hand accounts, interspersed here and there with his own observations. Being written so soon after the battle, it provides an interesting, raw insight into the state of the Imperial German Navy, even if some of the details turned out to be inaccurate. The report has been transcribed and put on The Dreadnought Project here.
