I have been looking at the fleet lists in the appendices of Vol V of J C de Jonge, ‘Geschiedenis van het Nederlandsche Zeewezen‘, Haarlem, 1862 and have come across the abbreviation ‘H. Ho. Mo.’ (sometimes rendered as ‘H. H. Mo.’) as in this sentence: “Uit het gedrukte Rapport der door H. Ho. Mo. benoemde Commissie, tot inspectie van ‘s lands schepen van oorlog enz”. The context, a printed report by a committee appointed to inspect the country’s warships, suggests something like a defence ministry. Can anyone please help with what this abbreviation means? Thank you for any help you can give in this matter, David
