      Hello,
      in some new books I found that Keltridge in His Book provides a solution to calculate decreasing breadth sweep radius moving aft. Could anybody help me with it?

      Thanks,
      Donatas

        Hi Donatas,

        Frank Fox or Richard Endsor may be able to help. I will pass on the request.

          Good Evening Donatos;

          William Keltridge in his book describes a method of determining a curve which will pass through three pre-determined points, in order to provide a rising or narrowing line, or the cutting-down line for the keelson. He also describes the method of calculating the offset distance between any point along this curve, and a straight base line touching its lowest point.

          Richard Endsor’s most recent book, ‘The Master Shipwright’s Secrets’ gives examples of the same types of curve, calculated using different methods taken from various contemporary sources, and is very interesting and informative. Well worth a look if you have not seen it.

          All the best,

          Mark P
