Does anyone have any information on the history of Sea Jade? She was a schooner, the property of an ‘old salt’ called John Grierson who renovated her in the 1980’s but then abandoned her to the mud on Walney Island. All I can glean from the internet is that she was a Whitehaven-built sailing trawler but I can’t find anything on the yard, the date she was built and her working life. I took a picture of her in 2007 but by 2012 she had been completely broken up. Anything anyone can add would be of interest . . .
